Distribution

Argentina (Corrientes, Chaco, and Formosa provinces), Paraguay (Caaguazú, Concepción, Cordillera, Presidente Hayes, Central, Amambay, Paraguari, Alto Paraguay, and Ñeembucú departments), and Brazil (Amambay, Mato Grosso do Sul and Mato Grosso states), associated mainly with the Paraguay and Paraná river basins, and the Pantanal wetlands.

Previous confused with Adenomera diptyx, according to the original publication, where comparative advertisement call, molecular markers, morphology, and karyology were detailed. A spot map was also provided.
