Distribution
Xingu-Tocantins interfluve, comprising the type locality and some other localities on the west bank of the middle-lower Araguaia River in eastern Pará and north-eastern Mato Grosso, and single localities on the opposite bank of the river in northern Tocantins and on the east bank of the lower Xingu River, Brazil.
