Distribution

Spotty distribution in Amazon basin from Madeira and Acre (Brazil) to Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, and French Guiana.

Comment

This taxon may be imbedded within Leptodactylus as implied by the molecular tree of Fouquet, Cassini, Haddad, Pech, and Rodrigues, 2014, J. Biogeograph., 41: 860. Ferrão, Fraga, Simões, and Lima, 2014, Salamandra, 50: 77–84, provided new geographic records and provide information on identification.
