Crossodactylodes itambe Barata, Santos, Leite, and Garcia, 2013, Zootaxa, 3731: 553. Holotype: UFMG 11239, by original designation. Type locality: "Parque Estadual do Pico do Itambé, 18° 23′ 53.1″ S, 43° 20′ 39.6″ W, 1921 m above sea level (a.s.l.), municipality of Santo Antônio do Itambé, State of Minas Gerais, Brazil".

Known only from the type locality in the Parque Estadual do Pico do Itambé, 1921 m elevation, municipality of Santo Antônio do Itambé, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Comment
Santos, Pezzuti, Barata, Leite, and Garcia, 2017, S. Am. J. Herpetol., 12: 14–23, reported on larval morphology. Santos, Magalhães, Ferreira, Vittorazzi, Dias, Leite, Lourenço, Santos, Haddad, and Garcia, 2020, Herpetol. Monogr., 34: 1–38, provided an account noting that the advertisement call remains unknown.
