Boophis (Boophis) archeri Vences, Köhler, Hutter, Preick, Petzold, Rakotoarison, Ratsoavina, Glaw, and Scherz, 2024, Vert. Zool., Senckenberg, 74: 672. Holotype: ZSM 12/2016, by original designation. Type locality: "Bevitagnono forest, 33.1 km SW of Bealanana on the road RN31 (14.7387°S, 48.5170°E, 1016 m a.s.l.), North West of Madagascar". Distribution

Known from (1) the type locality, Bevitagnono forest, and (2) Andranonafindra forest; elevational range of the species spans from 1016 to 1169 m elevation.

Comment

In the Boophis blommersae group, Boophis marojezensis complex, according to the original publication, where adult comparative morphology, advertisement call, and molecular markers (mtDNA) were detailed. Previously confused with Boophis marojezensis.
