Boophis boppa Hutter, Lambert, Cobb, Andriampenomanana, and Vences, 2015, Zootaxa, 4034: 537. Holotype: KU 336824, by original designation. Type locality: "Maharira within Ranomafana National Park (21°20′06.3″S, 47°24′28.31″E; 1233 m, above sea level [a.s.l.]), Fianarantsoa province, Madagascar". 

Common Names

Boppa’s Bright-eyed treefrog (original publication). 

Distribution

Known only from Ranomafana National Park at high elevation (ca. 1046 to 1312 m), extending into the Anteoetra area, and the Ivohiboro Protected Area, southeastern Madagascar.

Comment

In the Boophis albipunctatus group, Boophis ankaratra complex, according to the original publication. Basham, Masotti, Schmeder, Vences, Razafitsimialona, Andrianatenaina, Andrianoely, Allen-Love, Scheffers, Zamudio, and Wright, 2026, J. Herpetol., 60: 1–12, provided a genetically confirmed record from the Ivohiboro Protected Area, southeastern Madagascar.
