Boophis (Boophis) pikei Vences, Köhler, Hutter, Preick, Petzold, Rakotoarison, Ratsoavina, Glaw, and Scherz, 2024, Vert. Zool., Senckenberg, 74: 665. Holotype: ZSM393/2016, by original designation. None noted. 

Distribution

Known from (1) the type locality, higher elevations at the Marojejy Massif (around Camp Simpona), and (2) the Sorata Massif; also reported from (3) on the Tsaratanana Massif at a site called Antevialambazaha (14.1743°S, 48.9452°E,1699 m); elevation spans 1325–1699 m.

Comment

In the Boophis blommersae group, Boophis marojezensis complex, according to the original publication, where larval and adult comparative morphology, advertisement call, and molecular markers (mtDNA) were detailed. Previously confused with Boophis marojezensis.
