Comment

In the Boophis rappiodes group, according to Blommers-Schlösser, 1979, Bijdr. Dierkd., 49: 263. Considered a nomen dubium by Guibé, 1978, Bonn. Zool. Monogr., 11: 78. See account by Vences and Glaw, 2002, Tropical Zool., 15: 146-150, who discussed previous identificatory confusion, and who doubted the records from north-eastern Madagascar. Glaw and Vences, 2007, Field Guide Amph. Rept. Madagascar, Ed. 3: 174-175, provided an account and noted two unnamed similar species, one in northeastern Madagascar and the other in southeast-central Madagascar.
