Mantidactylus (Brygoomantis) mahery Scherz, Crottini, Hutter, Hildenbrand, Andreone, Fulgence, Köhler, Ndriantsoa, Ohler, Preick, Rakotoarison, Rancilhac, Raselimanana, Riemann, Rödel, Rosa, Streicher, Vieites, Köhler, Hofreiter, Glaw, and Vences, 2022, Megataxa, 7: 193. Holotype: ZSM 23/2004, by original designation. Type localty: "Isalo at a creek near Ranohira (22.5856°S, 045.3997°E, 813 m a.s.l.), Ihorombe Region, Madagascar".

Distribution

Mostly in the West of Madagascar, but reaching the eastern rainforest escarpment at Makira in the Northwest, and Tsaranoro in the Central region; known from Isalo (various localities), Forêt de Beanka, Makay, Makira West (Sahaovy, Camp 0), Tsaranoro, and Tsingy de Bemaraha (various localities). Elevation range: 120–960 m.
