Spinomantis chlorostictus Vences, Scherz, Köhler, Ruthmann Jimenez, Andreone, Crottini, Hutter, Petzold, Raselimanana, and Glaw, 2026, Salamandra, 62: 189. Holotype: ZSM 104/2016, by original designation. Type locality: "Ampotsidy, 15.7 km NNW of Bealanana (14.41965° S, 48.71943° E, 1347 m above sea level), northern Madagascar." Distribution

Genetically confirmed records from the type locality, Ampotsidy; (2) the Tsaratanana Massif, at least from Antsahamanara Campsite (Manarikoba) on the western slope of the massif, and Matsaborimaika; and (3) Ambohitantely in the central highlands. The known elevational range of the species spans from ca. 1000 m at Antsahamanara to ca. 2000 m at Matsaborimaika. All located within the Reserve de Resources Naturelles de Mahimborondro.

In the Spinomantis peraccae clade, according to the original publication, where comparative morphology and molecular markers (16S mtDNA), advertisement call, and natural history were detailed, as well as a dot map of genetically-confirmed records. Also, according to the original publication depicted as Spinomantis peraccae by Glaw and Vences, 2007, Field Guide Amph. Rept. Madagascar, Ed. 3: 207, Fig. 5b, and corresponds to Spinomantis sp. aff. peraccae of Andreone, Glaw, Mattioli, Jesu, Schimmenti, Randrianirina, and Vences, 2009, Ital. J. Zool., 76A: 96, Spinomantis sp. Ca11 in Perl, Nagy, Sonet, Glaw, Wollenberg, and Vences, 2014, Amphibia-Reptilia, 35: Suppl.
