Boulenophrys gaolanensis Song, Wang, Qi, Wang, and Wang, 2024, Asian Herpetol. Res., 15: 255. Holotype: SYS a009225, by original designation. Type locality: "Gaolan Island (21.9012° N, 113.2726° E; ca 177ma.s.l.), Jinwan District, Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, China". No Zoobank registration so date of publication will extend from date of distribution of paper copies to libraries (date currently unknown–DRF).

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Gaolan Island, Zhuhai, Guangdong, China).

Comment

The sister taxon of Boulenophrys acuta according to the original publication, where comparative adult morphology and molecular markers were detailed.
