Distribution
Known from Mount Mufu in northeastern Hunan and Mount. Jiuling and Guanshan Nature Reserve in northwestern Jiangxi, China, at elevations of 300–1300 m.

Endemic: China, People's Republic of
Comment
Lyu, Qi, Wang, Zhang, Zhao, Zeng, Wan, Yang, Mo, and Wang, 2023, Zool. Res., Kunming, 44: 434–435, provided an account and placed the species in their Borneophrys boettgeri group.
