Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Mt. Lushan, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, China), at elevations of 600–1200 m, primarily in mixed coniferous and broadleaved forests.

Comment

The sister taxon of Boulenophrys mufumontana according to the original publication, where comparative adult and larval morphology and molecular markers were detailed as well as the advertisement call.
