Distribution
Known only from the type locality, Mount Tongbo (1100–1115 m elevation) in northeastern Jiangxi, China.

Account and discussion of the literature provided by Lyu, Qi, Wang, Zhang, Zhao, Zeng, Wan, Yang, Mo, and Wang, 2023, Zool. Res., Kunming, 44: 439, who assigned the species to the Boulenophrys boettgeri group.
