Megophrys (Megophrys) selatanensis Munir, Nishikawa, Hamidy, and Smith, 2021, Zootaxa, 5057: 507. Holotype: MZB Amph 22411, by original designation. Type locality: "the eastern side of Bukit Barisan Mountain range in southern Sumatra, Lampung Province, Tanggamus Regency, Ulubelu District, Ngarip (5.280170°S, 104.557240°E, 1439 m a.s.l.".

English Names

South-Sumatran Horned-frog (original publication). 


Currently known only from the eastern slope of the southern Barisan Range of Sumatra, Indonesia (Lampung and Sumatra Selatan provinces).  


Most similar to Megophrys montana according to the original publication where morphology and molecular markers were detailed.
