Oninia senglaubi Günther, Stelbrink, and von Rintelen, 2010, Zoosyst. Evol., Berlin, 86: 248. Holotype: ZMB 74611, by original designation. Type locality: "near the Fakfak Town-Kokas road, at 860 m a.s.l. about 16 km north of Fakfak Town, Fakfak Mountains, Onin Peninsula (part of the Bomberai Peninsula), western New Guinea, PPI, 2° 47′ S and 132° 16′ E.", Papua Province, Indonesia.

Evol., 188 (107907): 66 (in this case apparently suggesting the paraphyly of Asterophrys with respect to Oninia a new discovery).

Fakfak Mountains on the Onin Peninsula, neck of the Vogelkop, western New Guinea (Papua, Indonesia), 600–1000 m elevation.

Comment

Transferred by synonymy of Oninia to a very large Asterophrys by Dubois, Ohler, and Pyron, 2021, Megataxa, 5: 418, and subsequently made part of a smaller Asterophrys as delimited by Hill, Fraser, Gao, Jarman, Henry, Iova, Allison, and Butler, 2022, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 177 (107618): 10.
