Asterophrys slateri Loveridge, 1955, Breviora, 50: 1. Holotype: MCZ 28205, by original designation. Type locality: "Omati, near Port Moresby, Papua [Gulf Province, Papua New Guinea]" (the type locality is actually about 400 km northwest of Port Moresby according to Zweifel, 1985, in Frost (ed.), Amph. Species World: 353.

Distribution

Southern lowlands and foothils in Western and Gulf provinces, Papua New Guinea, 1520 m elevation, west to almost the Papua, Indonesia (New Guinea) border, within which it is expected to occur.
