Type locality: "Papua New Guinea, Hela Province, Moran Oilfield (6.2390°S, 143.1210°E; 1,700 m a.s.l.)". ZOOBANK urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act:2B235C53-E6EC-4B71-B8B9-2C5E53287911 . Junior secondary homonym of Hylella brachypus Werner, 1898, when both are in Asterophrys.
