English Names

None noted.

Known with certainty only from the type locality, although that locality is likely to be an imprecise reference to the general area around Sattelberg given the standards for recording collection data at the time it was obtained.

Geographic Occurrence

Natural Resident: Papua New Guinea

Endemic: Papua New Guinea

Thought a possible synonym of Hylophorbus microtis by Van Kampen, 1919, Bijdr. Dierkd., 21: 54, and provisionally placed in the synonymy of Callulops doriae by Parker, 1934, Monogr. Frogs Fam. Microhylidae: 65, it was resurrected by Kraus, 2019, Zootaxa, 4612: 9, who discussed the problematic nature of the taxon given that the only specimen is the holotype and in a poor state of preservation.
