Copiula exspectata Günther, 2002, Zool. Abh. Staatl. Mus. Tierkd. Dresden, 52: 77-86. Holotype: ZMB 65096, by original designation. Type locality: "etwa 7 km nördlich vom Dorf Konti (ca. 15 km nordöstlich von Serui) in 630 m NN, Koordinaten: Breite 1° 49′ Süd, Länge 136° 17′ Ost, Insel Japen in der Cenderawasih Bay, Papua, Indonesia".

Asterophrys exspectata — Dubois, Ohler, and Pyron, 2021, Megataxa, 5: 479, by implication.

Distribution

Known only from the type locality on Yapen Island in northwestern Papua (New Guinea), Indonesia.
