Austrochaperina rivularis Zweifel, 2000, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 253: 52. Holotype: AMNH 130551, by original designation. Type locality: "Finalbin, 840 m, 5 km N, 2 km W Tabubil, Western Province, Papua New Guinea".

Copiula rivularis — Peloso, Frost, Richards, Rodrigues, Donnellan, Matsui, Raxworthy, Biju, Lemmon, Lemmon, and Wheeler, 2016, Cladistics, 32: 139.

Asterophrys rivularis — Dubois, Ohler, and Pyron, 2021, Megataxa, 5: 479, by implication.

Upper Ok Tedi and upper Sepik River catchments, and as far east as 143°, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea, 600-1600 m elevation.
