Oreophryne albitympanum Günther, Richards, and Tjaturadi, 2018, Vert. Zool., Senckenberg, 68: 115. Holotype: MZB Amph.11996, by original designation. Type locality: "'Bog Camp', Foja Mountains, Papua Province, Indonesia (2°34.36’S, 138°43.03’E, ~1600 m above sea level [a.s.l.])". 

Asterophrys albitympanum — Dubois, Ohler, and Pyron, 2021, Megataxa, 5: 521, by implication.

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Foja Mountains, Papua Province, Indonesia, 1600 m, near summit) in moss-covered trees in extremely wet, lower-montane forest near the summit of the Foja Mountains in Papua Province, Indonesian New Guinea, ca. 1600 m elevation.
