Oreophryne pseudasplenicola Günther, 2003, Zool. Abh. Staatl. Mus. Tierkd. Dresden, 53: 80. Holotype: ZMB 65899, by original designation. Type locality: "near the road to the village of Ambaidiru, about 17 km NE of Serui, ridge of the mountain Amoman (belonging to the massif of the Tamampi?), 1° 45′ S and 136° 19′ E, altitude 1150 m a.s.l., Yapen Island, Papua, Provnce of Indonesia".
