Oreophryne rookmaakeri Mertens, 1927, Senckenb. Biol., 9: 236. Holotype: SMF 22090, by original designation and Iskandar and Mumpuni, 2003 "2002", Hamadryad, 27: 126. Type locality: "Rana Mese, 1200 m. H., West-Flores", Lesser Sunda Is., Indonesia.

Asterophrys rookmaakeri — Dubois, Ohler, and Pyron, 2021, Megataxa, 5: 521, by implication.
