Microhylidae: 56, destroyed according to Blum and Menzies, 1989 "1988", Alytes, 7: 136; UP 1926 designated neotype by Blum and Menzies, 1989 "1988", Alytes, 7: 136. Type locality: "Erima", Papua New Guinea. Blum and Menzies, 1989 "1988", Alytes, 7: 136, note that the type locality is likely not the present-day settlement on Astrolabe Bay, but a village several kilometers inland. Neotype from "lower Kaironk valley, altitude 1300 m, Madang Province of Papua New Guinea".
