Platypelis ravus Glaw, Köhler, and Vences, 2012, Eur. J. Taxon., 9: 3. Holotype: ZSM 349/2005, by original designation. Type locality: "Marojejy National Park, ‘Camp Simpona’, 14° 26.199′ S 49° 44.601′ E, 1326 m above sea level, Antsiranana Province, northeastern Madagascar". Incorrect gender of the species name.
