Comment
The sister species of Rhombophryne testudo according to the original publication. Tu, Yang, Liang, and Zhang, 2018, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 126: 89, suggested that this species is imbedded within Plethodontohyla but refrained from making the taxonomic adjustment due to the possibility of misidentification of the tissue vouchers.
