Distribution

Apparently widespread in eastern to northeastern Madagascar in mid-elevation humid forest, but seldom encountered: records come from (1) Andasibe (type locality), (2) Torotorofotsy, (3) Iampirano, (4) Tsararano, (5) Maromizaha, and (6) Mandraka, (7) Zahamena, (8) Ambatovy-Analamay region, and (9) An’Ala. Ca. 500–1200 m elevation.

Comment

In the Rhombophryne laevipes group according to the original publication, where adult external morphology, morphometrics, osteology, advertisement call, and molecular markers were detailed as well as previous identifications in the literature as Plethodontohyla alluaudi.
