Distribution

Apparently widespread in eastern to northeastern Madagascar in mid-elevation humid forest, but seldom encountered: records come from (1) Andasibe (type locality), (2) Torotorofotsy, (3) Iampirano, (4) Tsararano, (5) Maromizaha, and (6) Mandraka, (7) Zahamena, (8) Ambatovy-Analamay region, and (9) An’Ala. Ca. 500–1200 m elevation.
