Chiasmocleis atlantica Cruz, Caramaschi, and Izecksohn, 1997, Alytes, 15: 59. Holotype: MNRJ 17550, by original designation. Type locality: "Tinguá (22° 36′ S, 43° 26′ W; ca. 40 m altitude), municipality of Nova Iguaçu, state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil".

Lowland forest in the states of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo in southeastern Brazil.

Comment

 Wogel, Abrunhosa, and Prado, 2004, Phyllomedusa, 3: 133–140, reported on the advertisement call. Unassigned to subgenus by de Sá, Tonini, van Huss, Long, Cuddy, Forlani, Peloso, Zaher, and Haddad, 2018 "2019", Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 130: 206, although possibly assignable to Relictius.
