Distribution

Eastern slopes of the Andes and the western slopes of the Cordillera del Condor, Provincia Zamora-Chinchipe, Ecuador, 968 to 1699 m elevation.

A description of the advertisement call was included in the original publication. Coloma and Duellman, 2025, Amph. Ecuador. Vol. 2: 23–24, provided an account, with photographs, which summarized identification, adult morphology, systematics, natural history, distribution (including a dot map for Ecuador), and conservation.
