Ramanella palmata Parker, 1934, Monogr. Frogs Fam. Microhylidae: 93. Holotype: BMNH 1890.11.8.62, by original designation; now renumbered BMNH 1947.2.11.21, by museum records. Type locality: "Newere Ellya, 7,000 ft.", Sri Lanka.
