Scaphiophryne boribory Vences, Raxworthy, Nussbaum, and Glaw, 2003, Herpetol. J., 13: 75. Holotype: UMMZ 225614, by original designation. Type locality: "Ampahanana forest, near Fierenana, 18° 29.53′ S, 48° 26.68′ E, 1000-1200 m altitude", Madagascar.
