Distribution

Endemic to Australia; occurs in montane areas above 690 m elevation straddling the Queensland–New South Wales border, from Levers Plateau in the east to Drummer Gully (Mount Barney National Park, Queensland) in the west.

Advertisement call, comparative morphology, and molecular markers detailed in the original publication, where is was considered to be the sister taxon of Philoria loveridgeiCutajar, Portway, Gillard, and Rowley, 2022, Tech. Rep. Aust. Mus. Online, 36: 38, provided a polygon distribution map.
