Formerly considered the Geocrinia rosea group, that genus was partitioned into two monophyletic taxa (Anstisia and Geocrinia) based largely on striking life history and larval morphology differences, summarized by Webster and Bool, 2022, Zootaxa, 5154: 127–151.
