Uperoleia lithomoda Tyler, Davies, and Martin, 1981, Aust. J. Zool., Suppl. Ser., 29 (79): 43. Holotype: WAM R61620, by original designation. Type locality: "swamp at Spillway Bridge (16° 02′ S, 128° 47′ E), 11.5 km north-east of Lake Argyle Tourist Village, Kimberley Division, Western Australia".

Uperoleia variegata Tyler, Davies, and Martin, 1981, Aust. J. Zool., Suppl. Ser., 29 (79): 55. Holotype: WAM R62461, by original designation. Type locality: "homestead garden at Gibb River Station (16° 26′ S, 126° 26′ E), Kimberley Division, Western Australia". Synonymy by Davies, McDonald, and Corben, 1986, Proc. R. Soc. Victoria, 98: 154, and Tyler, Davies, and Watson, 1987, Rec. W. Aust. Mus., 13: 541.

Distribution

Northern Australia from the Kimberley Division in Western Australia to the Cape York Peninsula and thence to Queensland, including Groote Eylandt and the islands of the Torres Strait; near Morehead in southern Papua New Guinea, although expected as well in adjacent Papua, Indonesia.
