Proceratophrys korekore Santana, Silva, Sant’Anna, Shepard, and Mângia, 2021, PeerJ, 9 (e12012): 4. Holotype: ZUFMS-AMP08100, by original designation. Type locality: "Jacareacanga municipality, Pará state, Brazil (09°19′1.00″ S, 56°46′35.76″ W, 200 m a.s.l.; datum = SAD69)".

None noted. 


Known only from the type locality, Jacareacanga municipality, Pará state, and few sites on the other side of the Teles Pires River, Paranaíta municipality, Mato Grosso state, Brazil.

Advertisement call, morphology, natural history, and molecular markers detailed in the original publication, where the new species was reported to have been previously confused with Proceratophrys concavitympanum, now considered the sister species.
