Litoria majikthise Johnston and Richards, 1994, Mem. Queensland Mus., 37: 274. Holotype: SAMA R 44093, by original designation. Type locality: "6 km SSW Tabubil, Western Province, Papua New Guinea, 5° 18′ S, 141° 12′ E".

Distribution

Altitudes of 550 to 1200 m in the headwaters of the south draining Ok Tedi in the Star Mountains, Western Province, Papua New Guinea.

Comment

In the Litoria nigropunctata group according to the original publication. Menzies, 2006, Frogs New Guinea & Solomon Is.: 144-145, provided a brief account and included this in his Litoria iris group. Shea and Kraus, 2007, Zootaxa, 1514: 37-60, commented on the paratypes.
