Rana miopus Boulenger, 1918, J. Nat. Hist. Soc. Siam, 3: 11-12. Holotype: BMNH, by original designation; although the original description is unambiguous about there being a single specimen, the BMNH has two specimens, 1947.2.3.29–30 (formerly 1916.3.27.44–45), registered as syntypes. This requires resolution (DRF). Type locality: "Siam (Khao Wang Hip and Nakhon Sitamarat [= Nakhon Si Thammarat]", Thailand.
