(eds.), Wildlife in Lao PDR: 48, reported the species in Laos. Nguyen, Ho, and Nguyen, 2005, Checklist Amph. Rept. Vietnam: 26, provided specific localities for Vietnam. Chuaynkern, Ohler, Inthara, Kumtong, and Dubois, 2004, Nat. Hist. J. Chulalongkorn Univ., 4, reported on the species in Cambodia. Nguyen, Ho, and Nguyen, 2005, Checklist Amph. Rept. Vietnam: 26, provided specific localities for Vietnam. Stuart, 2005, Herpetol. Rev., 36: 477, provided specific localities for Laos. Stuart, Sok, and Neang, 2006, Raffles Bull. Zool., 54: 139–140, provided an account and record for Cambodia. Bain, Nguyen, and Doan, 2007, Herpetol. Rev., 38: 110, provided records from Thue Thien-Hue Province, Vietnam. Neang and Holden, 2008, Field Guide Amph. Cambodia: 74, provided a photograph, brief account of identification, ecology, and range in Cambodia. Fei, Ye, Jiang, and Xie, 2008, Acta Zootaxon. Sinica, 33: 199–206, provided a key to the close relatives of this species. See photograph, map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status (as Rana attigua) in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 500. Hendrix, Nguyen, Böhme, and Ziegler, 2008, Herpetol. Notes, 1: 23–31, provided a record from Quang Binh Province, Vietnam. Gawor, Hendrix, Vences, Böhme, and Ziegler, 2009, Zootaxa, 2051: 1–25, compared larval morphology of this species to other species similar to Hylarana nigrovittata.
