Comment

Removed from the synonymy of Hylarana chalconota by Inger, Stuart, and Iskandar, 2009, Zool. J. Linn. Soc., 155: 123-147, where it had been placed by Boulenger, 1920, Rec. Indian Mus., 20: 201; Van Kampen, 1923, Amph. Indo-Austral. Arch.: 217; and Bourret, 1942, Batr. Indochine: 366. Wanger, Motzke, Saleh, and Iskandar, 2011, Salamandra, 47: 17-29, reported the species from central Sulawesi, Indonesia. Karin, Krone, Frederick, Hamidy, Laksono, Amini, Arida, Arifin, Bach, Bos, Jennings, Riyanto, Scarpetta, Stubbs, and McGuire, 2023, PeerJ, 11(e15766): 1–19, reported on elevational range in northern Sulawesi.
