Distribution
Currently known only from the type locality on Cangshan Mountain in Dali Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China, 2980 m elevation.

Comment
Phylogenetically closest to and most similar in morphology to Nidirana occidentalis and Nidirana pleuraden, according to the original publication, where the new species was distinguished by morphology and molecular markers.
