Odorrana bolavensis (Stuart and Bain, 2005)
Rana bolavensis Stuart and Bain, 2005, Herpetologica, 61: 483. Holotype: FMNH 258259, by original designation. Type locality: "on a rock bank less than 1 m from a rocky stream in wet evergreen forest on the Bolaven Plateau in Dong Hua Sao National Biodiversity Conservation Area, Pakxong District, Champasak Province, Laos, near 15° 04′ 37″ N, 106° 08′ 15″ E, 1000 m elevation".
Odorrana bolavensis — Che, Pang, Zhao, Wu, Zhao, and Zhang, 2007, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 43: 1-13, by implication.
English Names
Bolaven Odorous Frog (Poyarkov, Nguyen, Popov, Geissler, Pawangkhanant, Neang, Suwannapoom, and Orlov, 2021, Russ. J. Herpetol., 28 (3A): 48).
Distribution
Currently known from wet evergreen forest at 1000-2000 m elevation on the Bolaven Plateau of southern Laos, a large volcanic plateau isolated from the Annamite Mountain chain by the Xe Kong River Valley.
Comment
In the Rana livida complex according to the original publication. Stuart, 2008, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 46: 58, suggested that this species was likely in Odorrana but did not want to transfer it away from Rana prior to phylogenetic analysis.
