Distribution

Known from two localities: Chengjia Yao Ethnic Town, Yangshan County and Datan River Nature Reserve, Ruyuan County, Guangdong, China, 290 to 510 m elevation.

The sister taxon of Odorrana concelata and a member of the Odorrana lipuensis group according to the original publication, where comparative morphology, molecular markers, and a dot map were provided.
