Comment
Removed from the synonymy of Rana luzonensis by Brown, McGuire, and Diesmos, 2000, Herpetologica, 56: 81-104, where it had been placed by Inger, 1954, Fieldiana, Zool., 33: 304-305. See photograph, map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status (as Rana igorota) in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 504. Stuart, 2008, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 46: 49-60, suggested on the basis of molecular evidence that Hylarana igorota is close to Hylarana luzonensis, and together the sister taxon of Sanguirana sanguinea.
