Common Names

Yadong Bush Frog (original publication). 

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Xiayadong Town, Yadong County, Xizang Autonomous Region, China, ca. 2260 m elevation) although expected to occur in the nearby adjacent areas of western Bhutan and Sikkim, India.

Comment

The sister taxon of Raorchestes hillisi according to the original publication, on the basis of mtDNA analysis and morphological comparison. In the Raorchestes hillisi group according to Boruah, Deepak, and Das, 2025, Vert. Zool., Senckenberg, 75: 517–625, who reported on phylogenetics, comparative morphology, morphometrics, molecular markers, and distribution.
