Telmatobius edaphonastes De la Riva, 1995 "1994", Graellsia, 50: 161. Holotype: MNK AM 1115, by original designation. Type locality: "La Siberia, Provincia Carrasco, Departamento Cochabamba, Bolivia, 2600 m (17° 50′ S, 64° 45′ W)".

Known only from cloud forests of the Andean slopes of the Cordillera Oriental, in the departments of Santa Cruz and Cochabamba, Bolivia, ca. 2600 m elevation.
