Telmatobius necopinus Wiens, 1993, Occas. Pap. Mus. Nat. Hist. Univ. Kansas, 162: 60. Holotype: KU 212482, by original designation. Type locality: "east slope of the Abra Pardo de Miguel, 39 km ENE Pomacochas (= Florida) on road to Moyobamba (5°46′ S, 77°42′ W), 2050 m, Departamento Amazonas, Peru".

Common Names

Wiens' Water Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 85).

Distribution

Known only from cloud forest on the easternmost ridge of the Cordillera Central, 2050 m, in Amazonas Department, northern Peru.
