Telmatobius rubigo Barrionuevo and Baldo, 2009, Zootaxa, 2030: 2. Holotype: FML 20829, by original designation. Type locality: Argentina: Jujuy: Departamento Santa Catalina: El Queñoal (21º52′17.5″S, 66º06′09,2″W, 3966 m a.s.l.)".
Common Names
Laguna de los Pozuelos’ Rusted Frog (Akmentins, Gastón, and Boullhesen, 2024, Amphibia-Reptilia, 45: 241).
Distribution
Known only from the high-altitute drainage basin of the Laguna de Los Pozuela in Jujuy Province, northern Argentina.

Natural Resident: Argentina

Comment
In the Telmatobius marmoratus group of Barrionuevo, 2017, Cladistics, 33: 41–68. Akmentins, Gastón, and Boullhesen, 2024, Amphibia-Reptilia, 45: 241–245, reported on the underwater advertisement call.
