Telmatobius stephani Laurent, 1973, Acta Zool. Lilloana, 30: 164. Holotype: FML 01743, by original designation. Type locality: "Río Encrucijada, +/-2000 m cerca de Las Juntas, prov. de Catamarca", Argentina.

Stephan's Water Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 85).

Distribution

Sierra del Manchao, Catamarca Province, northwestern Argentina, 2200-2300 m elevation.
