Telmatobius thompsoni Wiens, 1993, Occas. Pap. Mus. Nat. Hist. Univ. Kansas, 162: 62. Holotype: UF 39734, by original designation. Type locality: "13 km ESE Yamobamba, 18 km SE Agallpampa on road from Otuzco to Huamachuco (7°59′ S, 78°36′ W), Departamento La Libertad, Peru, 3290 m".

Common Names

Thompson's Water Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 85).

Distribution

Known only from the type locality in the Cordillera Occidental, Departamento La Libertad Department, in the northern Peruvian Andes, ca. 3290 m elevation.
